Bring your world
Already playing somewhere else? Upload your saves and files as a .zip and we add them to ARK: Survival Evolved's files, with a backup first.

Stop the server first, then use World in the Settings tab. Files with the same name are replaced and nothing else is deleted. You can download your world as a backup file any time.
How your friends join
Copy your server's name from the server page once it says Running.
In ARK, choose Join ARK and set the session filter to unofficial servers.
Search for the server's name, select it and join; type the server password if you set one.

Why does ARK need 6 GB of memory?
Because the server loads the whole map and every creature on it.

Which maps can I play?
The Island, The Center, Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island and Fjordur.

How do I become admin in game?
Open the in-game console and type enablecheats and your admin password.

Why does the first start take so long?
Because the server downloads about 22 GB of game files first, then loads the map.

Loading the map takes a few more minutes. The files are downloaded again only if the server is recreated.
Can I install mods?
Not yet. ARK servers run the game without Steam Workshop mods for now.
Is my world backed up?
Yes, every day, and you can make one yourself whenever you want.
